Kingstown market toilet would be illegal in Bangladesh

Recently Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves compared progress in SVG to that in Bangladesh and Haiti. In recent months under the ULP government, SVG seems to have fallen one step below Bangladesh, in that, men and women have been forced to use the same one toilet at Kingstown market. This has been going on for several months. In Bangladesh it is illegal for men and women to use the same toilet.

Several women have approached the Leader of the SVG Green Party, Ivan O’Neal, and asked him to tell the Comrade that the middle and upper classes do not use the Kingstown toilet, it is the poor who voted the Comrade in to office.

There are six lawyers in the ULP cabinet. Women are calling on the Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves to please pass a law like in Bangladesh that makes it illegal for men and women to use the same toilet, so that the toilets in the Kingstown market can be kept in a good state of repair and be hygienic for public use.
